The Cannes Can
Modern Luxury Houston
Ray Dennison | June Issue (6.1.2018)
Earlier this spring, Vincent Sinard and Jean-Pierre Gleize opened Victor. Montrose’s newest nightlife hot spot. Inspired by French author Victor Hugo, the space draws in a stylish and sexy crowd for crisp Champagne, cool signature cocktails, craft beer and wine. Located in the former Zimm’s Martini & Wine Bar space, the posh interior features plush royal blue velvet chairs and bar stools, white marble counters and tabletops, and stunning art nouveau wood paneling details and oversize antique mirrors that trace their origins all the way back to a French château. The beats are equally chic, and the music program stays cool and mellow until around 8 PM, then transitions into serious house dance sets that thump until late in the night. Private curtained areas are available for bottle service, so make reservations on weekends.
